Abomination of
Desolation Authors note: The study of "Yom Kippur" is prerequisite reading to get the full value of this subject. Deuteronomy
13:1-4 If
there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee
a sign or a wonder, And
the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying,
Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve
them; Thou
shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of
dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the
LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye
shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his
commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave
unto him. There
is a text, I think we had better take another look at in light of the
current events. By current
events I mean; the events that have come upon the political and
religious scene in these past few short years;
that is, since religion and politics have come together
"again[1]". However
these events, that relate to this text that I am going to talk about,
have gone nearly unnoticed by the majority of the religious people in
the world. Except for the
few who, have kept this verse in mind and, have taken the time to study
the long range implications that surround it. The
verse that I want us to look at, is a statement Jesus made about the end
of the world, and what it was going to be like then. Lets
turn to the book of Mathew: In
the text we are going to look at; the lord was actually answering a
direct question put to him by his disciples about the period of the time
of the end (our time might I add). Chapter
24: As
he began to tell them what it was going to be like near the time of the
end, he gave them some direct answers to their questions, and he gave
them some indirect answers in his replay.
By this I mean; some of his answers were quickly understood by
them, but some of his answers were beyond their comprehension and even
their life span. The
text we are going to read was one of his direct answers, but in a way,
as you will see, it was really kind of an indirect answer as well-
actually it was a warning , and it was one that he himself had
given to a prophet from heaven some 633 years ago, when he spoke to him
in a vision. Now
even though the reference, given in our text by Jesus to his disciples,
was given in a vision recorded by the prophet Daniel hundreds of years
ago, it was really written for "our ears" to hear, down here
in this time of the end of which is clear. Lets
read now Matthew 24:3,14-15, and see what he said that is so important
for us here in the 21st century; Mathew
24:3,14-15,21: And
as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him
privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall
be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?…… And
this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When
ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand:)…… For
then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of
the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. As
Jesus gave this warning to his disciples, he was really reminding them
(and us) of an ancient prophecy; one
that spoke of the last days on earth, and a power that was to rise up
that all should be aware of. This
then is what makes it so important to us, and why we need to know who
this power that is to come will be, and why it is called "the
abomination of desolation[2]"
for as you read in verse 21 it will be the worst time ever recorded in
the bible on this earth. Our
protection is only following Jesus’ warnings. Daniel
Had several dreams and visions given to him Just
before Jesus made these prophetic and private statements to his beloved
disciples there on the mount. He
had just spoken words of reprehend to the Pharisee’s and scribes[3]
in the temple down there in Jerusalem.
Right after he was through speaking to them, he used some words,
that must have filled his heart with much sorrow.
For in verse 37 of the previous chapter we read. Matthew
23:37-38: O
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them
which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children
together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye
would not! Behold,
your house is left unto you desolate. Isn't
it tragic as we take a side step here;
despite all that had happened, and all that he knew was going to
happen to him by their hands (the Jewish leaders-his day preachers mind
you). Despite it all, his
desire for his chosen people to repent was still high wasn't it ?.
His arms seemed to still be willing to open even as he was
predicting, that "they would not". Friends,
you know, the same desire he displayed then is the same desire he has
for us today isn't it ?. For
we also wait for a fulfillment of prophecy to take place, and that being
the second coming, the very one that will mark the end of time that he
is talking about here. We
are in that time, and once again his arms are open wide.
But those of whom he has called[4],
and to those whom he has laid his truth and warnings all out on the
table of faith for them to take into their hearts and minds;
will once again not allow themselves to become his chosen, and
"will not accept the gospel of god just as the Jews would not. For
it was then, as Jesus spoke, the fate of those of whom he had chosen
many years previously (the Jews), those of whom his heart was heavy for
as he overlooked his beloved city and the temple therein representing
the very throne of God. Yes,
it was at that very point in time, the pre-determined events of the
prophecy we are about to study, the events of which he knew all to well,
were about to fulfill. "behold",
he said to the Jews; "your house is left unto you desolate" You
see, unfortunately the fate of this people (the nation of Israel-the
Jews) had already been predicted by the far seeing eyes of God, back
there in Daniel’s prophetic vision found in Daniel 9:24.
In that vision the lord himself, speaking through angles sent
from heaven, explained to his beloved Daniel, that a determined time[5]
had been set for the Jews to get things right with God and prepare the
way for the messiah (himself) who was promised to come the first time.
God The
time had now come, and he was there among them, as their messiah-the
prince, just like Daniel had recorded.
And the peoples reactions were just as predicted;
"they
would not"..... PICTURE
THIS: The
high priest (the head of religion in that day disclaimed the prophecy
and perverted it by saying “one man must die” that’s when they
took Barabbas. Lets
look at that prophecy then back there in Daniel just as Jesus asks us
to; "lets read and
understand" as Mathew 24:15 recorded. Lets
turn to Daniel 9: When
the Dead Sea Scrolls were found back there in 1947, in a cave in 1st
century jars, the book of Daniel was one of the books found among the
others. 1st
century stone jars found containing manuscripts of Daniel
9:24: Seventy
weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish
the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness,
and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. The use of the word "determined" here; means: that God, who sees the future, knew the Jews would not take heed to his sons words of warning, and he knew all to well that they would actually put to death their only hope who had come to die for them. Thus, they would be rejecting him for the last time corporately. I believe we should keep one important thing in mind here: it was "them" and not "him" - "that would not" do you see the difference? As
Jesus was speaking to the scribes and Pharisees, who were the religious
leaders of his day, it was nearly the time now of the fulfillment of
this prophecy given to Daniel about the Jews and the reason that God
would cut them off as a people. Jesus
knew this, through study of the scriptures[6]
and it was knowing these truths that must have broken his heart as he
looked over Jerusalem and mourned for his people. This
was his people[7]
his generation: a people who were sitting on top of all the prophecies
that had been given throughout all the ages by the great prophets of
old. It was this people who
should have seen that they were at the height[8]
of their great nation. A
nation of whom God himself had chosen to usher in his son for the world,
this was the end for which the lord had led them thus far.
Now their big moment was about to take place, a moment of which
their whole religion was based, but "they would not gather
themselves under his wing for safety” put an end to their iniquity and
make way for righteousness. Their
time had now run out: in a
few short days they would reject his testimony and crucify him.
In the "very year", in the "midst of that
prophetic week[9]",
as shown to Daniel in our prophecy.
Exactly at the pre-determined time, as it had been given, for the
Messiah to be cut off, but not for himself[10]
would they meet their final act of rejection. They
would fulfill this prophecy in its fullness, and most amazingly, they
would not even realize it. Then,
in not so many years after Christ’s death, the destruction of
Jerusalem would come, an event which was also pr-determined to take
place scattering this once godly people into oblivion. This
shows us an important precedent we should take note of.
Had the scholars of Christ’s day (the preachers mind you) just
picked up the scriptures and really studied them, and not tried to fit
them into their own interpretations as did the great high preacher of
Jesus’ day. They would
have been aware of these prophetic events, as well as the part of the
anointing of the Messiah. Had
they but just studied prophecy[11],
they would have been ready for his timely appearance there at the river
when John proclaimed him as the Lamb of God which has come to take away
the sins of the world, then at that moment in time they should have
known it was the fulfilled, and they should have accepted him with open
arms as the anointed one, and quite possibly have changed the course of
time, "but they would not".....
PICTURE
THIS: Christ
on the cross with the sign being put up and Caiaphas saying “Jesus
king of the Jews” causing quite a stink in the religious world. It
is just this way today folks and you mark it down.
The realities of his near re-appearing go almost unperceived by
the unknowledgeable mass. The
events that were meant to forewarn us are given such light regard, by
even the religious leaders, that we have actually prevented them from
doing their work on us, as did the Jewish leaders of Christ’s day.
We have actually perverted them so much, that the event[12]
according to Jesus’ own words will nearly take even Gods people by
surprise[13].
If people would only heed Jesus’ warning in Mathew 24:15 and
know what it is he is warning them about it would be different. Had
they only known back then that their Redeemer was just above them, up
there on the mountain top, there in the mount of olives.
Don't you think they would have ruptured to his side ?.
But they did not, they would not, they could not.
Even his closest friends, his disciples, who walked and talked
and touched him, who had been told exactly what was going to happen next
to him, forgot, and lost hold on the gravity of the moment, as they fell
asleep at his darkest hour[14].
It wasn’t until later, some years after his departure, that
these whole realities would really strike them point blank and led to
their records of scripture. Picture of Jesus praying while disciples sleep in background For
some, back there in those days, actually many (the majority in reality)
his departure was the same as his baptism.
Uneventful, unrecorded, not news worthy, a “without meaning
event”, and his cross, the end of the story. If
we only realized today, that, “the cross” was just the beginning of
the story[15]
for the gentile nation. A
nation of whom the same calling that was on the Jews was now to be upon
them. Why folks, it is
"us" of whom have been called.
Called to do what ? To
preach the gospel[16]
unto all the world and
"then" would the end come. The
end of what ? The end of it
all, and the cross was just the beginning.
Yes, this ultimate event, this focal point of time itself, this
cruxes of prophetic vision[17],
the cross, for future man, was to be the power to lead man unto hidden
resources. A time to look
back and see the visions that had been lost sight of in all the
preceding ages, as "they"[18]
looked forward to it. This
event was to recall to future mankind[19],
his personal, individual and his particular calling, and that is, one of
a royal priesthood[20],
people who were to "understand" it all.
For now, having beheld the son of man hanging on the cross, we
and all mankind should now know what it was like, as a human, to live
life as God would live it, and to die as god would die[21].
Certainly
by this I do not mean we have been called to fulfill the same prophecies
as the Son of God. But none
the less, we too have been predetermined to be the Christ like example,
the bearers of truth, and the rightful dividers of the word of God.
Counting not our life unto death[22].
But people, how can we rightly divide the word of God, if we do not know what it says ? If we only let someone else read it for us ? How will we realize the individual responsibility of knowing the gospel for ourselves ? How can we understand the very things Jesus has asked us to "specifically" understand, if we have not read about these things nor studied them for ourselves ? Things like those that will come upon the people of God in the end times. Why even in Paul’s time the handwriting was on the wall, the picture was clear of how it was going to be in those dark days just before time ends. Why even Jesus compared his time to the times of Noah when the whole world was lost due to a lack of faith in God, and he compared the time of the end to Sodom and Gomorra as to the condition of the people, so it behooves us then to make today the first day of our salvation doesn’t it ? A day when we read and study the scriptures for ourselves and develop the faith required to take us through those dark and corrupt times ahead. Sign

return to our first text but go a little further;
Matthew 24:3-15. You
know, a lot of people go on to verse 16 and say; "see, Jesus was
talking about the destruction of Jerusalem because he specifically
mentions those in "Judea".
Maybe friends, and there is a twofold warning here, for Jesus did
say he had come to feed to the house of Israel and not the dogs[23].
But
friends, if we conclude that most of all he said in this chapter was for
the Jews only, including the text of concern, we may be dead wrong, and
if we take the popular opinion that the old testament books were written
for the Jews only. Then
what we have done is discarded, as council, the large portion of the
bible. Including a massive
amount of the new testament quotes that are taken from the old as
referenced by the new testament writers. No,
if you look at the context of Matthew 24: and read verses 3,14,21,27.
The context says it all doesn’t it ?
It was the end of the world he was addressing in this chapter,
and we had better reconfirm the truth of this and the validity of the
old testament truths as well as being part of the gospel. What
was it Jesus said in verse 11[24]
? The end of the world will
be the end of the line for the Gentiles, just as was the destruction of
Jerusalem was the end of the line for the Jews. Scripture
says when the fullness of the Gentiles is reached then what ?
Now there is a text to find. As
Luke was describing this same event as Matthew, he adds something
Matthew doesn’t, in Luke 21:24. And
as he goes on in verse 25-28. He describes what will happen just before
Jesus comes? The fullness
of the Gentiles? Paul
also gives us this same warning in Romans 11:25, and in the verses
before, and in those that follow this text.
He speaks of us (Gentiles) as being grafted in Jews, yes Jews.
So it is wrong, and even conceited for us to think we are under
some different religion or something, and that the message of old is
somehow outdated and done away with.
In Romans 2:10-29, a text I am sure we are familiar with, is
where Paul puts this whole argument into perspective.
That is to those who are really concerned about this subject and
the truth of it. But
back to the point of our subject at hand.
"the abomination of desolation".
And to our lack of understanding of just what this means.
And to why Jesus gave it as a warning.
And to what it has to do with us down here in the time of the
end, and what it has to do with this whole discussion of
Jew-gentile-truth and error regarding prophecy which is the warning
mechanism for us here in the last days. Do
you know what if I were Satan I would destroy by any means the clear
word of prophecy anyway I could, and friends, through the clergy today,
just as in the time of the Jews, he has accomplished the very same
thing, and has perverted and diverted the clear prophecy that was meant
to warn us down here in the last days. So
lets get a clear picture of this one prophecy, Jesus did say in Matthew
24:15 that; whosoever should read "let him understand".[25]
My question for today is; do "we". Do "you"
understand the truth of this warning from Jesus?
If not, please take a few precious moments of time, here in the
end of time, to do so. For
it may mean life or death for us, depending on our circumstances. PICTURE
THIS: Moses
drawing a line on the desert floor; Those who stepped over it towards
Moses stayed on Gods side, those who didn’t went back to
Egypt…lost...some immediately…. What
do I mean by these things I am writing anyway ?
Why am I writing them and being so forceful ? Friends,
we, who will be the ones, who will stand in the light of his coming,
must be a unique people. People
without sin, and this is true. For
the shekinah[26]
glory of God, that has been veiled since the beginning of time, will be
revealed in Jesus when he comes this time, in that glory, and it will
destroy sin and sinners alike in the brightness of his second coming[27].
Check it out. So
what does this mean? How
can we be perfect ? Well,
the only answer to that is simply; we can not, as humans, we can not
become perfect. Paul
writes; can a leopard change his spots ? Then how can we born into this
sin problem ever be anything different?.
So what does this mean? It
simply means friend we are to be without "willful" sin[28].
These are the sins we know are wrong but continue therein
"by choice". These
are the unseen sins that sometimes only we know what they are, they are
the secrete ones as well as the blatant ones. Really
friends, isn’t this the same things that got the Jews.
Oh they appeared on the outside as radiant Christ like priests
(white sepulchres Jesus described), but inside they only fooled
themselves[29].
And the real problem with the Jews was, they would never admit
it, even to themselves. Much
less never would they confess them to Jesus, who only could remove them
upon request. This
problem just continued to evolve with them.
And in their blindness they began gradually to overlook sin and
its magnitude. To the
point that they no longer felt convicted, nor saw any need in
confessing. They became as
Paul wrote in Romans 2: blind
to their real needs, to the real purpose of the law, unknowledgeable.
And it showed in their respect of the plan of salvation.
A plan set up for them "by God himself" (reflected in
types and foreshadows). When, as Isaiah wrote in Isaiah 66:2-4. They cut
the neck of lambs, which represented the Lamb of God, as if they were
cutting a dogs neck. Friends,
this is exactly where we are now as a people because we lack knowledge,
and just as they did back then, we hold, in light regard, the sacrifice
of Christ because of our willful sins[30].
Soon it will catch up to us as well.
These things are true, and I venture to say you won't hear these
things from very many preachers nowadays it cuts to hard across even
their paths as it did the religious leaders of Jesus’ day. The
sooner we face it friends, the better off we are.
Why? We, as humans,
do not change so fast. Especially
under the influence of nearly 6000 years of sin.
And listen, our attention span is about as short as our desire,
and we still do not understand the things Jesus warned us about
concerning the abominations that exists upon this earth right now, here
at the end of our age. As the last day events are happening, all around us, in rapid succession. The abomination of desolation is moving about the high places of this earth at this very moment in time. What do we see happening if anything at all ? Do we see it ? Or is our vision blurred by the talk shows or the latest rumors of who the beast power is. Or the latest guess on what 666 means. Or what Billy Graham wrote about the abomination of desolation[31]. The prophet wrote "would not a people seek their God for the answers" instead of physic hot-line or some preachers with itching ears (see Isaiah 8:13-20, ii timothy 4:3-4). PICTURE
THIS: King
Saul’s visits a peeper to raise up the prophet Samuel to no avail of
course, actually sealing his fate.
But get this so did The president of the USA here in the 20th
century Ronald Regan, as
did Bill Clinton, I wonder which other ones?
Why is it we seek man instead of God for the answers?
We will read this mans book or that mans book like the Left
Behind series but will not study our bibles for the real answers that
are in most cases just the opposite of these books. As
we begin our study of the predicted event of the Abomination of
desolation, just exactly as Jesus asks us to, let's see if it has any
warning for us at all. What
did he say? (in case you
have forgotten, Matthew 24:15) "when you shall see the abomination
of desolation standing in the holy place", as Daniel spoke it
would; then what ? "let
whoso readeth understand". Now
read verse 21-22 of Matthew 24...and "except those days be
shortened" what? "there
shall no flesh be saved"? That
is all encompassing friends, and it should scare us to death.
Do you know the problem? We
have no Godly fear left in us anymore [32].
Its true, and we would realize this if we would just be honest
with ourselves. Solomon
said; in his last book, I assume, something about this very
problem(Ecclesiastes 12:9-14); where he said, "there are only two
duties given to mankind". Now
wait, before you get all shook up about this seemingly works statement,
remember; Solomon according to God was given the wisest mind any human
would ever have (see I kings 3:5-12) he would be the pinnacle of wisdom,
save Jesus of course, who was the giver of the wisdom and knowledge, but
in his wisdom Solomon wrote; having done it all, seen it all, written it
all etc. He concluded this;
"two things are mans only duty";
one of course would naturally be to "keep the Ten
Commandments"[33]
and the second is likewise "to maintain a fear of God"[34]. Why
are these two things called a "duty" then.
Doesn’t that seem to promote works?
Come on now, get off that kick.
Let's think about it seriously now; if we quit fearing God, its
not long till we quit fearing his law "and" the one who makes
us break it, which is Satan. This
folks is the great deception that will take the whole world in, as
spoken of in the revelation in chapters 12-14.
For it will be those, who are guilty of not accepting, or taking
lightly at least, these two things, who will, with almost no exception,
actually see the abomination of desolation as a power for God instead of
a power against God. But
Daniel, of whom we are to understand, as he speaks of this abomination,
as he spells this out so clearly, leaves us no room for doubt.
And the abomination that makes desolate is surely against God, as
we will see, and its those who keep Gods commandments and fear God that
are following God as his saints i.e. Rev. 14. Why
then, you ask, are so many people ignorant of this?
And really how could they be ?
Verse 11 of Matthew 24 tells us.
Many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many Jesus
says. John adds to this
warning in revelation 13:11-18. Now friends, look as this picture begins to expand for us, of whom this deceiver is. Go back to verses 13:1-9 of this chapter as they give us more detail to our picture. Now listen, it is these very same things that Daniel wrote of when he addressed the topic of the abomination of desolation. So
lets back track, taking Jesus warning, given to John and to us; "if
any man have and ear, let him hear".
Are we really listening ? Do
we really care what Jesus admonishes us to know ?
Several writers have written that the lord only chastises those
he loves[35]. Notice
verse 10 of revelation 13; "here
is the patience of the saints".
Revelation 14:12 repeats this about the saints and adds,
"here are they"; that not only keep the Ten Commandments but
"have the faith of Jesus".
Revelation 12:17 states this same description again about Gods
last day “saints”, but in yet another different light actually a
different time of the end, more closer to the beginning of the time of
the end. But notice the
Spirit is using some of the same words.
Revelation
19:10 tells us what the testimony of Jesus is......and it is in context
of the end just before the second coming, the consummation of the
marriage of Jesus to his church, His saints….. Revelation
19:9,10 And
he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the
marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true
sayings of God. And
I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it
not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony
of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy. I
ask again; do we really know what the prophecy means concerning “the
abomination of desolation”? What
it is? This is the faith
the saints of the last days will have spoken of here. Do
you realize that we, as Gods called (Gods saints) today, may be guilty
of transgression of Gods law as well[36]?
Look around and you will see it is true.
This however is why Jesus came to this earth the first time[37],
and that was to help us with this sin problem; Romans
8:3-4 For
what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God
sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh: That
the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not
after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Oh
friend, if we could only put away our prejudices and get this big
picture, it would open up a whole new world for us;
“We are weak but He is strong”…. So
we are covered in a sense on this part of the prophecy concerning the
last day saints, that is if we let him fulfill Gods law through us[38].
Ok, the works issue is cleared up But the "faith issue"
(believing it), now that is one that is fully in “our corner”.
And that is exactly why he gives us these warnings we are
studying. To help us have
the faith we need in these last days to avoid sin and deception and to
be aware of the events that are to come upon Gods people as the end
draws near for it will be a time darker and worse than any time ever for
Gods saints. Can we stand
in the face of this darkness, when persecution will again arise?
Only my friend is Jesus is living in us will we be true.
During the dark ages there was a time when to avoid the
persecution all one had to do was confess to the priest they were a
catholic and they wouldn’t be tortured, all they had to do was
renounce Protestantism and put a little pinch of incense on the alter
and they would be let go. Many
stayed true to God and were burned at the stake, their nails were pulled
of one by one, they were skinned alive, we just don’t have the picture
yet or we would fall on our knees knowing without Jesus working out
“His righteousness” in us and not blocking Him, and disallowing Him
entrance into even into the worship of our lives, we are to be left to
the prey of the beast power who will come without mercy once again.
Her power is rising and the Abomination of desolation is already
in the high place! Do
you think for a moment God doesn't know the power of the deceptions that
will exist in the time of the end ?
Of course he does, and
that is why he said[39],
unless he cuts it short in righteousness not even the elect,
"that’s those who have the faith", not even they could make
it because of the intensity of the time when complete spiritual darkness
has consumed even the last ray of heavenly light and only the shroud of
protection surrounding the saints will there be any light.
May our prayer be we are wholly covered by the righteousness of
Christ in those days. What
gives us then this false confidence we see in today’s religions? devoid
of this council? The
confidence we see, the majority now of the modern preachers have towards
these things, with willful ignorance this council[40]?.
Is it my friend that we simply just do not know their importance?
Do we realize at this very moment in time we stand on the
threshold of eternity? JESUS KNOCKING ON THE DOOR OF THE UNITED NATIONS – MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN EVER! The
closer we come to this event friends, when time for change is cut short,
and the great announcement from the portals of heaven is made;
"that time has ended, from that moment on, the unrighteous man will
remain so, and the righteous man will also remain as he has allowed
himself to become". When
that time comes, there will be no more time to find out if these
councils are true and binding on this age or not.
For time will be no more, no time for controversy.
Rev. 22:8-11. "and
behold I come quickly"; and he says in verse 12.
"my reward is with me". You
see in mans modern ignorance, he does not even realize, when Jesus
comes, judgment according to the works in the flesh, has already been
decided. And Jesus comes to
give the rewards to his faithful "as his works shall be" He
says. While the unfaithful
on the other hand, who have "no right" to the tree of eternal
life eternal, will face his brightness alone, unshielded by Christ’s
righteousness, and it will consume them "in" their evil deeds,
instead of sealing them in righteous deeds. (the works, remember?) As
he closes his last book called revelation, as we have cannoned anyway,
and as he makes his final statements to mankind.
He goes on to mention the purpose and importance of prophecy.
It would do us well at this point to heed these warnings would it
not ?
the
Abomination
of Desolation
……..as
spoken by Daniel the prophet Oh,
I have heard the tales using the seven years of Daniel 9 out of
context. Yes, I have also
heard about the 1000 years of peace that is supposedly going to be
here on earth, which is contrary to, the easy to understand
scriptures. Certainly,
I’ve read where the number 666 has been used from tattoos on the
body, to grocery store scanners, to even some new money or applied to
anyone who's name adds up to it (666). I've
heard about the beast being the computer, or Hitler, or some power
that is to come out of the east.
But friends this is all hype, its all out of the pages of
fiction by the hands of individuals like Lindsey and Vanimpe, this
week in prophecy, the Seven Hundred Club, Trinity Broadcasting and
even from Waco. Listen,
all of these do have something in common, and that is hype. And that's
all, believe me or not. And
if you don't believe me, at least believe the bible.
For this is where I am going to get all my proof, and no where
else except the pages of history that cannot be reversed. Did
you realize there is a movement today to disclaim the holocaust?
It's true, a large group of people simply just will not believe
an event like that is possible, or at least they believe it has been
blown way out of proportion[41].
Many do not believe that Hitler, under religious fanaticisms
and interconnection with the revived Jesuit priesthood, had millions
killed during our parents age. And
millions in all religions do not know that during the dark ages,
millions upon millions lost their lives because their religion
disagreed with the prevailing religion of the day. What's
so sad about this whole dilemma is, a short trip to the local library
would settle all these disbelieves.
For the pages of history do not lie. I
must clarify this by saying though, it does pay to check your sources.
For there have been added to the shelves of the library, in the
last several decades, a lot of fiction, prepared by Satan himself, to
lead the casual reader into false prophecy. One
example of this is a book I checked out of the library in an attempt
to prove that there were only 4 world empires that have ruled the
world throughout history. As
I said I went to my local library and checked out all the books I
could find on world empires. One
was called the Byzantine Empire.
A strictly Roman Catholic fabrication I found out.
For in the very first page of that book.
In the very first paragraph it said; "there wasn't really
ever any Byzantine Empire proper".....
Needless to say I felt like I find nothing but fabrications
within those pages mixed with a little bit of creditable history. Another
example before I go to the bible;
My
cousin who had gone all the way to freshman college in Catholic
schools. Told m; he was
amazed that at the state college he was attending, was teaching a
totally different ancient history than he had learned up until then in
catholic schools. This
speaks for itself I am afraid. Why
would any large institution wish to pervert history?
Well, I am going to attempt to answer this question as we turn
to our subject. Read Matthew 24 to re-set the stage again: Matthew
24:15 When
ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand:) If
you would now turn with me to Daniel, just as Jesus asks us to, we
will lend an ear to what Daniel wrote concerning this abomination of
desolation. I
'd like to start at the end of the book of Daniel where this term
“abomination” is applied. Daniel 12:9-11 And
he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed
till the time of the end. Many
shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do
wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall
understand. And
from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination
that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred
and ninety days. Here
Daniel tells of the things he saw in a vision that he had just had. In
verse 8 he said; "I, heard but I didn’t understand what these
things meant". He
even asked the deliver what they meant, but the angel wouldn't tell
him, he only said in verse 9 , "the words are closed up and
sealed till the time of what? “The
end”, and that's “our time” isn't it friend?. It
appears to be a time when there will be two distinct classes of people
(verse 10). And notice a
“time frame” is given in reference to our subject. Verse 11-13. Now
these time frames are not explained to Daniel, and once again he is
told to go his way in rest. And he was to stand in his lot at the end
of the days. Now
I realize that these are strange things being said here.
But not so strange that we can not rationalize them out using
the bible. The statement
"shalt rest". Daniel
12:11-13 And
from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the
abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two
hundred and ninety days. Blessed
is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five
and thirty days. But
go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest,
and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. What
does this mean ? The
grave is referred to as a place of rest or sleep in the bible, is it
not[42].?
And verse 13 says he was "to stand in his lot".
Now, as with all study of scripture there is a process in which
we can let the bible speak for itself and not give in to private
interpretation[43]
as the bible warns us not to do, especially in dealing with prophecy. The
approach for understanding what a verse means is; first see what the
context of the scripture is. The
historical and the local context is important.
Second what people group is being referred to and last find
another scripture dealing with the same issue throughout all the bible
and compare, a bible concordance is very helpful here. So,
is there anything in the context of this chapter that gives us a clue
as to what this "to stand in his lot" & "in
rest" means?. Lets look at the whole book in context and compare some other texts; Daniel
12:1-13 And
at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth
for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble,
such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and
at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one
that shall be found written in the book. And
many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to
everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And
they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and
they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But
thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time
of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be
increased. Then
I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this
side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank
of the river. And
one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the
river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. And
I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be
the end of these things? And
he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed
till the time of the end. Many
shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked
shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the
wise shall understand. And
from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the
abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand
two hundred and ninety days. Blessed
is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and
five and thirty days. But
go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand
in thy lot at the end of the days. Revelation
20:11-12 And
I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face
the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for
them. And
I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and
the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the
books, according to their works. In
verses 1&2 "at that time thy people shall be delivered",
and the talk about the "book".
Books are going to be opened in the judgment day (see Rev.
20:11-12). Verse 2 of Daniel 12 adds to this picture showing the
results of the books at Jesus coming. The
judgment at the end of these days, that Daniel is concerned about, is
the focal of the message of this book from the beginning.
As well as its ties with a 2300 year prophecy of which we will
now establish. This will
be clear as a crystal when we look back on this text in conclusion. Now
hopefully you have already read about Yom Kippur[44]
and the longest time prophecy given in the bible.
And you already realize the great anti-typical day of atonement
started in 1843-4. This
was the beginning of the judgment process in heaven.
Lets see then if it is connected to these two time periods that
appear to have something to do with the judgment. Subtract
1335 from 1843. 508 You
will realize a date of 508 a.d. store
this date. Notice
that the time period given in the above text of 1335 is 45 days or
years[45]
from the 1290 period given, 1335 45 which
had the beginning date of what ? 508
a.d.; that was the time
when the abomination that maketh desolate is set up (verse 11). If
you start with this date of 508 a.d. and add the 1290 years.
You would reach the end of this period or the year 1798 a.d.
1798 Did
something prophetic happen on this date? Sure did and we will go into
that in a moment. But
first add the difference of these two time frames of 45 years to this
date of 1798 a.d. and you come up to the year 1843.
508 1798 1843 According
to the angel this was to be a "blessed time" for those who
were waiting, including Daniel. The
judgment of course would be a joyous event for ones like Daniel who
were true to God, devastating of course to those who are found lost as
the books are opened. There are other reasons for calling this a blessed time but we will see this also in a moment. Lets now take a look at how this all looks on a time line.
508
the setting up of the abomination of desolation 1843
the “Anti-typical day of judgment begins in heaven Now
these dates and time frames that interconnect with our subject, are
also related to some other prophecies given in Daniel of which we will
prove now. One
such date is found in Daniel 8:13-14.
Daniel 8:13-14 Then
I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain
saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily
sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give
both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And
he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then
shall the sanctuary be cleansed. And
notice there is our phrase given again tying it to Jesus’ command
“desolate”. Also take
note that this time is focused around the 2300 days of the Yom Kippur
prophecy, the cleansing of the sanctuary.
But how do the other dates fit into this as we see in the time
chart above? It
to help us get the answer to this clearly and unreserved, we must see
them in their context of which they were written beginning with Daniel
2. Read all of Daniel chapter 2 and then we will go on. Daniel
2:1-49 “And in the
second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar dreamed
dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled, and his sleep brake from
him. Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the
astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for to shew the
king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king. And the king
said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to
know the dream. Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O
king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will shew the
interpretation. The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing
is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the
interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses
shall be made a dunghill. But if ye shew the dream, and the
interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and
great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation
thereof. They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants
the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it. The king
answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time,
because ye see the thing is gone from me. But if ye will not make
known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have
prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be
changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can
shew me the interpretation thereof. The Chaldeans answered before the
king, and said, There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the
king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked
such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean. And it is a
rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can
shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with
flesh. For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and
commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. And the decree went
forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and
his fellows to be slain. Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom
to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, which was gone forth to
slay the wise men of Babylon: He answered and said to Arioch the
king's captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch
made the thing known to Daniel. Then Daniel went in, and desired of
the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king
the interpretation. Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing
known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: That they
would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that
Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men
of Babylon. Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night
vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.
Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever
and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings,
and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to
them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who
hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what
we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's
matter. Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had
ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus
unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the
king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation. Then Arioch
brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, I
have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto
the king the interpretation. The king answered and said to Daniel,
whose name was Belteshazzar, Art thou able to make known unto me the
dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof? Daniel
answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the
king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the
magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king; But there is a God in
heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king
Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the
visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; As for thee, O king, thy
thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass
hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what
shall come to pass. But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me
for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes
that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou
mightest know the thoughts of thy heart. Thou, O king, sawest, and
behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was
excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This
image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his
belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron
and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without
hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay,
and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the
silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the
chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away,
that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image
became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.This is the dream;
and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king. Thou, O
king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a
kingdom, power, and strength, and glory. And wheresoever the children
of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath
he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou
art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another
kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of
brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth
kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in
pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these,
shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet
and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall
be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron,
forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the
toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom
shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest
iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed
of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not
mixed with clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of
heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the
kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in
pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain
without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the
clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the
king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and
the interpretation thereof sure. Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell
upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should
offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.The king answered unto
Daniel, and said, Of a truth it i , that your God is a God of gods,
and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest
reveal this secret. Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him
many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of
Babylon, and chief of the governors over all the wise men of
Babylon. Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon:
but Daniel sat in the gate of the king”. Lets
paraphrase this story and pick out the highlights that help us in our
study. Nebuchadnezzar
the king of Babylon, who had conquered the city of Israel, and left
the temple in ruins. Carried
off, after the battle, some of the wise young boys as was his custom.
He did this historians say to keep the culture of his conquered
kingdoms alive and exploitable. Nebuchadnezzars
kingdom was called Babylon. And
he ruled the then known world, the whole world, of which he had
brought under his subjection. This
included even Gods people. This
God allowed for a reason of which we will see.
One
day Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a great image with a head of gold,
beast and arms of silver, belly and thighs of brass, legs of iron, and
its feet were of iron mixed with clay. He
called his magicians and astrologers, his sorcerer's and wise men of
his kingdom to tell him the interpretation of his dream.
But when he couldn't even remember his dream they told him it
was impossible for anyone, even men of their talent, to tell him the
interpretation thereof. He
commanded then that all of the wise men of his kingdom be gathered and
killed. They came to get
Daniel too who was numbered among these men.
When the chief of captains told him why he had come, Daniel
told him that he could tell the king what he wanted to know.
He told him his God would give the king the answer. Daniel
then told Nebuchadnezzar what God had revealed to him.
He told him that he had seen a great image and he described
what it looked like. Him
told that the head of gold represented him (Nebuchadneezar) and his
kingdom (see Daniel 2:38). In
verses 39-44 he says the other parts of silver, brass and iron
represent three other kingdoms that will arise, one after the other. The forth kingdom, and the last to rule the world, represented by iron, was to be broken up into ten parts, as shown by the ten toes, these would be the ten divisions of which the forth kingdom would divide into when it was conquered. Since they are made up of iron and clay they will not be able to unite and rule over the earth as the other four had. In
the end of these divided kingdoms will be the setting up of Gods
kingdom. A kingdom of
which we know is not set up until "after" the end of the
world. Of course “it”
will last forever. Now
this prophecy stretches even into our future, as we know it looking
back in retrospect; so
since it relates to us lets then take a look at these kingdoms in more
detail as they come up one by one on the pages of history. The
first kingdom to rule the earth was Babylon the great.
Even the Lord himself looked on and commented on its wonders[46];
they had the hanging gardens (one of the seven wonders of the world)
of which it was famous for. The
city itself was decked with gold (much like heaven will be) modern in
its layout and design. Truly
it was identified rightly as the Head of Gold.
Babylon ruled from 606 b.c. to 538 b.c. The
next kingdom represented by the arms and breastplate of silver; was
the union of the Medes and Persians which conquered Babylon in 538 b.c.
and ruled up until 331 b.c. The
overthrow of this kingdom was shown to Daniel in a vision he had about
two goats (see Daniel 8:1-21) now notice, it was in this vision that
Daniel overheard the 2300 day sanctuary cleansing statement. (verse
14) Daniel
8:13-14 Then
I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain
saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily
sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the
sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And
he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall
the sanctuary be cleansed. Daniel
8:26-27 And
the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true:
wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. And
I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and
did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none
understood it. but
at the end of this vision (verse 26-27) Daniel was told to just forget
about what he heard them say about the 2300 days.
For it would not take place for many days or years.
(2300 years to be exact).
So shut it up was all Daniel heard.
But this caught his ear and he begged God to tell him what this
meant. All
of Daniel chapter 9 is his prayer and supplication to God for the
answer to this vision. Why
? Well,
it wasn't the "2300 days" or the "abomination of
desolation" that we are interested in that caught his attention.
It was instead the statement about the "Cleansing of the
Sanctuary" that he wanted to know about (Daniel 9:17). Daniel
9:17 Now
therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his
supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is
desolate, for the Lord's sake. You
see Daniel was a Jew, and he was raised with the sanctuary in place
there in Jerusalem. Since
it had been destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and laid in ruins back there
in Canaan. There was no
place for him and his people to sacrifice according to the
commandments for the forgiveness of sins.
It was this, his heart cried for.
And when he heard that the sanctuary was to be cleansed in 2300
days he wanted to know what that meant, and when it was going to
happen thinking it would be in his time. Kind
of like the ones in 1843 who wanted to know the answers to this same
prophecy, just from another perspective. Each
discovered the answers, and to each it was a disappointment.
For when the answer came to Daniel (see Daniel 9:21-27) it was
obvious that it truly was something that was going to happen many
years from his day. And
that was why the angel said "shut up the vision for it will be
for many days". Did
you notice, at the end of this vision our subject was mentioned (verse
27). Daniel 9:21-27 Yea,
whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen
in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched
me about the time of the evening oblation. And
he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come
forth to give thee skill and understanding. At
the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I
am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore
understand the matter, and consider the vision. Seventy
weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish
the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make
reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint
the most Holy. Know
therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment
to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be
seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be
built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And
after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but
not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with
a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And
he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in
the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the
oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall
make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined
shall be poured upon the desolate. Briefly
let me go over this vision again to show you how long stretching it
was. Verse 24; 70 weeks
were determined (or cut off from the 2300)
"seventy
weeks are determined upon thy people"; this was a message to
Daniels people the Jews. They
were given by God 70 weeks, or giving 7 days in a week 490 days or
years, to make and end to sinning.
To stop the transgressions against Gods Law which of course is
sin (see I John 3:4). And to usher in the Messiah with Everlasting
Righteousness, sealing up the vision and prophecy {given here for them
to read, as well as us) and to anoint the Most Holy. Now
this was a prophecy concerning Jesus’ coming the first time.
Anointing means his baptism.
These things then would take place at that time.
But we do not know where to apply it yet, or where the starting
point is? Verse 25 tells
us, so we don't have to guess; "from the going forth of the
command to restore and build the temple, unto Messiah the Prince"
(which was Jesus). Now
we have a starting point. If
you read the history, several edicts went forth from a couple of
kings, before the starting point of this prophecy took place.
The reason being, several kings were against the Jews at the
time this prophecy was given to Daniel.
It was given in the midst of the conquering of Babylon by the
Medes and Persians. But
the one event that is prominent and not argued by the historians, was
the decree by king Atraxerxes, who found favor with the Jews, in 457
b.c. (see Ezra 7:12-) this is one of the most fixed dates in the
bible, check it out. Archeology
has set it in stone for us.
So,
yes, we have the starting time of 457 b.c. Now
lets look at what we have so far in our time line; oh,
I just realized I hadn't proven to you that a day equals a year in
prophecy. It is always
used this way in interpreting biblical prophecy.
And the proof is found in Ezekiel 4:6.
And elsewhere as I suppose we have already addressed in Yom
Kippur. Notice
on our "time chart"; these two dates are on either side of
the big event of the crucifixion.
That, of which the angel addresses in the next few verses. Verse
27 says "he shall confirm the covenant with many for one
week". Incidentally
how many days in one week ? Seven
right ? Do you see the 27
a.d. on our chart? Now
add seven to it and we get 34 a.d.
what do we read next ? In
the midst of this prophetic week he shall cause the sacrifice and
oblations to cease. When
Jesus died on that cruel cross, what happened in the temple in
Jerusalem at that very moment? The
curtain was torn, that separated the holy place from the most holy
place[47],
signifying an end to the sacrifices.
Sacrifices of which (foreshadowed) or pointed to the
anti-typical lamb who was to come, and that was "Jesus" the
Messiah. He had come
putting and end to this system of salvation from sins by animal
sacrifice. And thus, the
tearing of the veil should have told the people this.
Especially since it was torn from top to bottom, which would
have been humanly impossible, for it was very high. Sins,
both past and future can only be purged by the blood of the Messiah,
this process was now transferred to the heavenly sanctuary, waiting on
the Day of Judgment, of which this prophecy was all about. So
in the midst of that seven year period (prophetic week), the Messiah,
Jesus was to be crucified or "cut off".
"but not for himself" for he had no sin, yet, we know
he took our sins upon Himself. What
a solemn and sobering thought this is.
To think that I had a part in that sacrifice for sin.
And it was his blood that will Atone me, and bring me
"back" unto God. "if",
yes if, I confess and repent of it. Now
listen up; even though the sacrificial system has been done away with.
The sin problem still exists today doesn’t it ? And a need
for forgiveness is still required, right?.
"he is faithful and just to forgive of our sins "if
we confess...... Paul
makes this clear as he compares the old system[48]
to the new system there in Hebrews; "....all things need to be
atoned with blood sacrifices" and not the blood of goats and
lambs, but with a more perfect sacrifice.
And that is the blood of Jesus, sprinkled for us in the
heavenly sanctuary. It is
this we must grasp-in light of this prophecy, and it was for this
reason it was given to Daniel, and why even William Miller himself was
called. Therefore
27 a.d. marked the anointing or baptism of the Messiah, and the
beginning of his (Jesus’) ministry.
And this ministry lasted exactly 3 and one half years to the
midst of the week where it was cut short. At
the end of the remaining 3 and one half years, brings us up to the
stoning of Stephen. You
may ask, of what significance is this event that it would be a part of
this prophecy concerning the cleansing of the sanctuary and the
judgment? The
answer is, "much". For
it was the person holding Stephen’s coat, at this first martyrdom,
after Jesus, called Saul or later called Paul.
Who was to call the Gentiles to repentance[49].
Thus signifying the end for the Jews, but the beginning for the
Gentiles, who would be in control of this message at the fulfillment
of this prophecy[50]. Remember
490 years were determined upon the Jews, after that they were cut off
as Gods chosen people, "if", they would not prepare for this
event. Of course we know
the answer to this condition, "they would not" and actually
killed their only hope. Now,
the burden was to go to our generation of Christians after Jesus (the
Gentiles) and it is this prophecy we are to understand!
All the in's and out's thereof.
All of these things that we have seen that surrounds this
“Abomination of Desolation” subject. We
have now seen this longest of the time prophecies interpreted.
And it has been by the bible itself, and not some theory based
on hype. And
of course historical markers have made it possible through the
recorded documentation and archeological discovery[51]. THE

next vision is more related to Nebuchadnezzar's dream than the
abomination that makes desolate, but you will see the dates will
overlap, tying them all together for us, to help us see how they
relate to the prophecy of our subject.
You will also see this indeed is a part of Jesus’ warning of
Mathew 24:15. Please
read Daniel 7:1-3. Daniel
7:1-3 In
the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and
visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told
the sum of the matters. Daniel
spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four
winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.
And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from
another. Daniel
7:23 Thus
he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,
which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole
earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. Here
we read that Daniel sees four great beasts.
Here are the four kingdoms again (see verse 23) and it is the
same kingdoms as in the kings dreams, just described to Daniel in a
little more detail. The
first like a lion with a mans heart, with eagles wings representing
again Babylon. Wings in
prophecy mark the speed (see Habakkuk 1:8) in which Nebuchadnezzar
conquered the earth as supreme ruler.
Notice this beast was lion like.
For in the end Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged the God of Creation.
The
second beast was symbolized by a bear which raised itself up on one
side. And had three ribs in its mouth.
You see, the Medes and the Persians were allied together as I
said. But the Medes were
the stronger of the two, so
this is why the beast was raised up on one leg.
The three ribs in his mouth represent the three providence's of
which this kingdom was divided. Persia,
Egypt and Libya. The
third beast Daniel saw was like unto a leopard with four wings, which
meant this kingdom conquered the world with exceeding speed.
"Alexander the Great" took control of the world very,
very quickly. But died as
a young man and his kingdom was ruled by his four generals; Cassander,
Lysimachus, Seleucus and Ptolemy.
Represented by the four heads. The
forth and the last beast Daniel saw, was dreadful and terrible and a
exceedingly strong beast.
It had great iron teeth (remember the legs of iron?) And it
devoured and broke into pieces everything it touched.
It was different Daniel noticed from the others, and it had ten
horns.
Daniel
then said; "as I was watching, there came up from among them (the
ten horns) a little horn". "which
plucked up three of the ten horns by the roots".
And he noticed this little horn had the eyes of a man and a
mouth speaking great things. Daniel
7:9-11 I
beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did
sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like
the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as
burning fire. A
fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands
ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before
him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I
beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn
spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed,
and given to the burning flame. The
vision suddenly breaks, Daniel now has a view of the judgment seat,
and the destruction of this power (little horn) in the flames of hell.
tying together these two subjects just as we have done proving
we are talking about the issues God wants us to know. Notice,
then the vision goes back to the other beasts as they had their time
and place in history, up to the last or little.
But the vision ends with a picture of Jesus’ coming at the
end of time placing this prophecy in the scheme of time. Daniel
7:12-22 As
concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away:
yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I
saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came
with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they
brought him near before him. And
there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all
people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an
everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that
which shall not be destroyed. I
Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the
visions of my head troubled me. I
came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of
all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the
things. These
great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of
the earth. But
the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the
kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. Then
I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all
the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his
nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the
residue with his feet; And
of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came
up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a
mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his
fellows. I
beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed
against them; Until
the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the
most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Daniel
naturally sought an interpretation. But none was given this time.
Verses 15-22. The only
thing he was told about were things concerning the "little horn
power", and that his time frame was to stretch until "the
time of the end", and this power seems to have a dramatic part in
this. Daniel
7:23-25 Thus
he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth,
which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole
earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And
the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and
another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first,
and he shall subdue three kings. And
he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out
the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and
they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the
dividing of time. Verses
23-25 gives us some identifying marks of this little horn, and what it
will do down here in our time near the end.
And notice, a "time frame" for this little horns
reign is given to us. Now
folks, armed with these few verses and the marks of this power given
here, and what we have seen thus far.
It would be easy, for a child even, to identify this power of
the little horn, from the very pages of history alone. But
since we don't have the time to go to the library and do it, lets do
it now. I urge you
however, to check out these things for yourself it adds to the faith
you will have in Gods ability to speak through prophecy, personally to
our generation, as well as to our own minds and hearts. He
wants us to know these things personally.
Especially does he want us to know about who this abomination
of desolation is. Do you
think that he would specifically ask us to know what these things
mean, yet not supply us with the ability to find out, for sure from
creditable sources, what they mean or who they point to?
Of course not, and that is why I am writing this to you so that
you can know who it is for sure that your faith may be full.
And that we do not fall prey to her deceptions as Jesus has
warned, and most important you are not pulled away from Gods
righteousness that is directly related to Him coming in and living out
His works in us which are his law His covenant His will His love[52]. But first friends, before I tell you who it is. Let me add this one warning myself. We are not talking about individuals here so do not quote me as some self appointed bigot or something. No matter who it ultimately points too, it is " God himself" that is warning us, and showing us who this power is that will exist in the latter days, And because he loves us, he is showing us what it will do that can effect our faith ? So please do not be offended, for it is Gods own picture, in fact it was not even Daniel’s predictions given here, but Gods alone[53]. And it is for us, down here in the twenty first century to know, by the express command of Jesus, "to him that hath an ear", he said. What
will this power of the little horn do other than pluck up three
kingdoms at their very roots? You
mark them down folks; Marks
of identification I.
It rises up among the ten. - verse 24. 2.
It comes up after the ten ( after 476 a.d. the fall of Rome)
- verse 24. 3.
Plucks up three of the horns. - verse 24. 4.
Man at head - verse 8. 5.
He shall be diverse from the others he shall reign
both religiously and politically as the others were
only political. - verse 24 6.
He shall speak words against the Most High, or
blasphemy. -verse 25-(bible definition of this is
found in John 10:31 and Mark 2:5, for a man to
claim to forgive sins is for God only). 7.
Persecution, or wear out the saints - verse25. 8.
Change times and laws, of which only God can do
and that only by a heavenly edict. 9.
Reign a specific time; “a time, times and a dividing of
time”. Verse
25 ? This last mark of a
time frame for this powers reign is equal to 1260 years.
How
do I know this ? For all
we are given is a time, times and a half of time ? Well
in prophecy a "time" represents "one year", and
"times" represents "two years", and a half a time,
or a "dividing of time", represents "one half
year". That’s 3
and one half in all. How
many months in 3 and one half years friends ?
42
right ? [12+24+6=42]
ok, sure this is true, but what does it have to do with the 1260
years, or this time-times thing? I
want to show you something you may not have known before in answer to
this question. John
the revelator also had a vision of a beast in 90 a.d., and in his
vision he also saw a beast come up out of water too.
Very similar indeed to the beast Daniel just saw.
As we look at Johns beast we will see the similarities between
the two, identifying it as this same "little horn power" of
Daniel as well. And then
we can more clearly make application as to whom it applies to. Revelation
13:1-2 And
I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the
sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns,
and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And
the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as
the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the
dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Now
did you notice that this beast is actually made up of the four beasts
Daniel saw; a leopard, a
bear, a lion, seven heads (remember 3 were plucked up) and this power
would exist among the seven kingdoms (nations) left.
Added to this is more description of this power; ten horns and
ten crowns, describing the roots of its power, which gave it its seat
(physically) and great authority (politically).
In verse three we read that one of these heads receives a
deadly wound, but that wound was healed.
After that "all the world would wonder after this
beast". Notice the blasphemy is also there as with the little
horn power. But
friends, if we had nothing else at all given here to identify these
two powers as one of the same (Daniels little horn and Johns 666 beast
, we have the linking time frame of this beasts rule, given here of
“forty two months” (“3 and 1/2 years”), and it is the
same time frame as the “time, times and half a time” just as the
little horn. Notice
with this description we see the dragon as he is working through all
of the worldly kingdoms giving them his power to do these things as
well as he gave the little horn power his authority. Who
is this dragon ? Revelation
12:3-4,7-9,13-14. Well
its of course Satan. But it is a picture of him working through his
earthly channels. Such as
verses 4-6 tell us. Revelation 12:4-6 And
his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them
to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to
be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And
she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod
of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And
the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of
God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days. You
know, in Jesus’ time, even king Herod, so full of the workings of
Satan, sent out a death decree to kill Jesus as soon as he was born,
as we see symbolically here in this scenario of the child, verse 4 to
be specific. So
did Satan give power to all worldly kingdoms that have been raised to
do his beckoning. So as
it was during the dark ages, when the Roman Catholic church, so full
of satanic rituals and demonic possession.
It too sought out Gods saints, Protestants by the millions, and
lead them to the slaughter. 80
million is a conservative number, say the historians (read
“Watchman” this site). World
wars, have been started by this power, according to Abraham Lincoln
(search for “Lincoln” this site).
Many detached Jesuit priests concur with this, as well as many
recorders of history who have placed this power at the roots of all
persecution and uproar. Abraham
Lincoln was recorded as saying the Pope was behind his assignation
plot, of course he didn’t know he was going to be killed but he was
aware of this power and felt very assured it was going to get him[54].
We
will not find such atrocities committed by any group, including the
Nazis, as we see done by this power during the dark ages.
Making this age the darkest period of this earth's history
(even called the dark ages), rivaled only by the antediluvian world,
and the time of trouble, Jesus predicted in Matthew 24:21
Friends,
more fulfillment of recorded prophecy is realized during this age,
than any other period of time. Making
it the very "marking period" of the "anti-Christ",
the "abomination that maketh desolate". It is this very
power, we will discover, that will bring in the last day deceptions
through flattery (read Daniel 11 & 12) and peace making, giving it
the appearance of an angel of light and mercy to an unsuspecting
world. During
this prophetic dark period of time, the 1260 years of this beast
powers first rule, God however did not abandon his people, as we read
here in rev. 12:14,6. He
hid his saints and his truth in the wilderness it says. Revelation
12:14 And
to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly
into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a
time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the
serpent. Revelation
12:6 And
the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of
God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days. Now
notice the period of verse 14 its a familiar one isn't it ?
Why sure it the same times spoken of in Daniel.
And equates with our forty two months.
And verse 6 puts it a different way, describing the same event,
as it says 1260 days or years. So
this 1260 is exact, and the period of this powers "first
rule" is defined for us as well as the power itself. And
talk about exact, this may shock you into seeing what I have said is
true about this power. It
was exactly 1260 years from 538 a.d. when Emperor Justinian gave the
Pope her power both religiously and politically in the affairs of the
then political world at that time.
She held this power even solely clear up to the year of 1798
a.d. (look at our time chart again) in which year (1798) French
general Berthier pulled the Pope off the throne, and put and end to
the many years of religious persecution and slaughter of Gods saints,
identifying this power as the one of the Little Horn as well as the
Abomination of desolation and fits into the prophetic time frame to a
tee. This
time, after 1798, after this power comes to a temporary halt, was
shortly to be a “Blessed Time” as stated in Daniels prophecy, and
it was going to take place at the end of the 1335th year.
After 1290 years of power, and religious ruler ship[55]
and persecution as the world will never see again, and considering all
the blasphemy's against God; claiming to forgive sins of whom only
Christ can, and seeing the things done against Gods word and his
people worse than ever had been done before, and reading of how the
bibles were thrown into great piles and burned in the streets, hearing
of the death decrees made against anyone practicing religion, and
seeing the time when the "goddess of reason" was put in as
the national religion to the agreement of priests and Pope (read
“French revolution this site), then there’s the changing and
challenging of Gods laws and times, changes that are still held as
tradition, by the Mother church of
harlots[56],
as the bible puts it. And
then there was the complete destruction, ethnic cleansing, utter
genocide of three complete nations (the Vandals, the Heruli and the
Ostrogohts; plucked up to their very roots) because they would not bow
and kiss the feet of the Pope. Tie
these marks to the healing of the seemingly "deadly wound",
given in 1798 a.d. a
wound that has clearly & completely healed, of which the world
cannot deny today, as we see all the Protestant churches, including
the Jews and Israelis, and even the black magic of the Ethiopians, not
to mention all the world political powers, that have rallied after
this power and have utterly forgiven and forgotten the dark ages, and
even turned their worship (both politically and religiously) back
towards, what Billy Graham and others describes as the head of the
conscience of the Christian church and peace maker of the world. Friends
if you do not think this one power alone fits all the marks of the
beast of Revelation 13 and the little horn power given in the bible
some 2600 years ago, I assure you will not be able to equate it to
another. For only she has
all the world of modern Babylon wondering after her, and only she
alone can take credit for the genocide of these three kingdoms.
Only she alone controlled the world both politically and
religiously during those 1260 years fitting no where else in history
since the fall of Rome. These
things alone mark her above all others and leave no room on the pages
of history for anyone else. No
wonder she wished to change the history books, no wonder the TV.
programs dealing with history and prophecy and the dark age period of
time, are by and largely adulterated, by the facts as she sees them,
and produces them. You
say as you gasp for air, or clench your fists, how can you say such
things about what appears to be an angel of light, a worker of
righteousness, a great moral agent and benefactor of the poor and an
honest maker of the peace. All
I can say friends is; I
didn't write these things, I only put them together and in order and
in context to our subject. No
matter how you try, as I have, these marks of identification can only
identify one power, that has been upon the face of the earth.
And marks only one power that will go into perdition and take
the world with her through her deceptions. If
you don't believe God in these things, then I am sure you wont believe
his warnings given in Revelation 14;
Revelation 14:9-12 And
the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man
worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead,
or in his hand, The
same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be
tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels,
and in the presence of the Lamb: And
the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they
have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and
whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here
is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the
commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Nor
will you see the need to place yourself into the group of Gods true
saints, as they are described in verse 12.
This group being the extension of those protected during those
dark years from this power who was given over to the dragon of
Revelation 12:17. Nor
would you wish to consider yourself part of the angelic servants of
Revelation 19:10, who worship God, keep His Commandments, and have
what? Verse 10; "for
the Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy".
It’s those friends, who believe and teach and have the Spirit
of Prophecy that are being addressed with these things. What
was Jesus’ own prophecy, His warning given us of the end of the
world, of which he testified of in the Spirit of Prophecy? Matthew
24; Matthew
24:15 When
ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let
him understand:) So we've come full circle. May God deliver us from Babylon, as the call is heralded by the angel of great light; as seen in Revelation 18 and on to the end of the book. Read
it now with wisdom, and see it open up as never before.
For in these final chapters of the written word of God, some
things are meant to stand out clearly for us.
These are the paradox's of;
Gods mercy and His Righteous indignation.
His rewards and His punishments. In
all this passage though, as we are torn between the pages, may we
forever keep clear in our minds, "his arms" are still open
for a short moment of time. Will
we, or will we not, come under his wings of mercy and love. Many
are called but few allow themselves to become a part of his chosen,
you mark it down folks. Sure,
it takes a lot of giving up, a lot of courage and a lot of self
denial. But as we look at
the Son of God hanging there on that cruel cross, we must see two
things clearly; as the
song "beneath the cross of Jesus"; says; "two
wonders I behold"; the
wonder of eternal love, and our own unworthiness. [1]LITTLE DO PEOPLE KNOW THAT DURING THE DARK AGES POLITICS WAS THE RELIGION-RELIGION WAS THE POLITICS. To be the saints of God is an awesome task that many are not willing to take on its just to demanding to life changing and they go on as if what they are is acceptable to God, never once realizing they have just made a fatal mistake. Fortunately Jesus will try and try again yes with heavenly chastisement to steer us in God the fathers direction where he “never” strayed from….John 14:11 “Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake”… (verses 15-17) “If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you”. DO YOU SEE HOW IT ALL FITS? [39] Matthew 24:22 – “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened” THE VERY EDICT THAT WILL COME FROM HEAVEN AT THAT TIME, OF THE END OF THE END OF TIME, IS EVEN WRITTEN DOWN FOR US; Revelation 22:10-12 – “And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be”. [40] YOU CAN’T TELL ME EVERY STUDYING PREACHER HASN’T BEEN FACED WITH SUCH POINT BLANK UNARGUABLE TEXTS LIKE I HAVE PRESENTED HERE AND ESPECIALLY TEXTS LIKE Hebrews 10 AND END TIME CONTEXT; Hebrews 10:25-31 – “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God”. AND YET HAVE NOT REPENTED OF THEIR SINS (REMEMBER SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION, DISOBEDIENCE TO)OF GODS LAW, THIS IS INCLUSIVE OF HIS SABBATH MY FRIEND PREACHER. TIME IS STILL AVAILABLE THE HEAVENLY EDICT HAS NOT BEEN MADE YET YOUR CASE IS PENDING AND SO IS MINE [41] FOR ALL YOU DISBELIEVERS GO TO MY ARTICLE CALLED “WATCHMAN”. [42]JESUS SAID LAZARETH IS NOT DEAD BUT ASLEEP RIGHT, BUT HE HAD BEEN DEAD SEVERAL DAYS. PAUL REFERS TO DEATH AS SLEEP (SEE I THESSALONIANS 4:13). IN VERSE 16 HE SAYS THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST. THIS MAKES ME ASK A QUESTION WHY WOULD THE RIGHTEOUS WHO SUPPOSEDLY WERE IN HEAVEN HAVE TO COME BACK THROUGH THE GRAVE ? SOME ONES BEEN DECEIVED ABOUT THE STATE OF THE DEAD. FIND THE ROOTS OF THIS BELIEF AND YOU WILL FIND THE LIARS. JOHN SAW THE WICKED RISE FROM THEIR GRAVE IN THE SECOND RESURRECTION (SEE REVELATION 20:5-6). PSALMS 13:3,I CORIN. 15:51-52,WHY DANIEL 12:2 ARE JUST A FEW OF THE TEXTS FOR REFERENCE. [43] II Peter 1:19-20 – “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation”. [44]THE FIRST STUDY IN THIS WRITING OF THE "LAST PASSOVER". [45] Go back to the article “Yom Kippur” for scriptural evidence and also Sir Isaac Newton’s proof a day equals a year in prophecy. [46] see my article on “Babylon” [47]MATHEW 27:50-51-“Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom”; [48]THE OLD SYSTEM BEING THE SACRIFICES, THE NEW BEING THE CONFESSION BY PRAYER, BOTH HOWEVER REQUIRE THE SAME PAYMENT FOR SIN AND THAT IS BLOOD. BOTH PLANS ARE IDENTICAL ONLY ONE WAS PHYSICALLY GRAPHIC THE OTHER IS BY FAITH IN THE ALL ATONING SACRIFICE BY JESUS. ONE HAD WRITTEN LAWS BOTH MORAL AND SACRIFICIAL, THE NEW ASSUMES THOSE LAWS ARE WRITTEN IN OUR MINDS AND HEARTS, SEE HEBREWS 8:6-10, 9:20-24, 10:1-22. [49] Ephesians 3:8- “Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ”; [50]POST 1843 A.D. [51] The dead sea scrolls, the Library of Sennacherib the Assyrian king (see “Daniel” on this site), the Rosetta stone and many other archeological discoveries. [52] Romans 13:8-12 – “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light”. ISN’T IT ODD PREACHERS WHO KNOW BETTER TEACH Paul DOES AWAY WITH THE LAW? JUST BY THIS TEXT ALONE ITS OBVIOUS WHICH ONE OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS THEY WANT TO ELIMINATE (THE 4TH). [53]PONDER ON DANIEL 10:21 SOMETIME. [54]READ THE ACCOUNTS OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN SOME TIME, AND HIS BELIEF IN GOD WILL ASTOUND YOU. A LOT OF POLITICIANS DENY GOD WAS EVER A PART OF THE MAKEUP OF THIS NATION AND WOULD LIKE TO REMOVE IN GOD WE TRUST FROM THE DOLLAR BILL OR ONE NATION UNDER GOD FROM THE CONSTITUTION OR EVEN THE CONSTITUTION ITSELF OF ANY REFERENCE TO GOD, DENYING EVEN LINCOLN BELIEVED IN GOD BUT IF YOU LOOK UP LINCOLN ON MY SITE YOUR EYES WILL BE OPENED TO THIS DECEPTION. [55]THIS PERIOD OF TIME SHOWS US WHAT LEADERSHIP UNDER THIS RELIGION WAS LIKE AND IF WE THINK IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT TODAY WE HAD BETTER THINK AGAIN. AND RELIGION THAT WORSHIPS MARY INSTEAD OF CHRIST CARRYING HER IDOL WITH ITS TEARS OF DECEPTION AS AN IMAGE THROUGH THE STREETS OF IGNORANCE. AND THE VOWS TAKEN BY THOSE OF THE JESUIT PRIESTHOOD ARE THE SAME AS IN THE DARK AGES. AND THIS INFALLIBILITY THING CLAIMED AS FAR BACK AS PETER PROVES THAT THIS POWER DEFENDS ITSELF IN THE END OR SHE IS NOT CATHOLIC. ADD TO THIS THE POWER SHE HAS PORTRAYED ON EVERY MAJOR DENOMINATION AND RELIGION OF THE WORLD AS I WRITE IS ASTOUNDING MARKING HER AS THE POWER SHE IS ABLE TO DECEIVE THE WORLD AGAIN. [56] PROTESTANT CHURCHES WHO HAVE ACCEPTED THE TRADITIONS OF THE PAPACY OVER THE HOLY SCRIPTURES. THE CHURCH IS THE WHORE BRIDE FOR DOING SO AND HER CHILDREN ARE HARLOTS BY FOLLOWING IN HER FOOTSTEPS. HOW ACCURATE IS THE BIBLE! IN THE END AS WITNESSED TODAY BY LAYING ALL DOCTRINE ASIDE TO UNITE UNDER ONE RELIGION “ONE ALTER” AS BUSH PUT IT FOR THE GOOD OF THE NATION OF COURSE SHE WILL HAVE BROUGHT INTO HER FOLD ALL RELIGIONS. LOOK AROUND ALL BUT ONE MAJOR RELIGION HAS KISSED THE TOE OF THE POPE INCLUDING BILLY GRAHAM PROTESTANTS STAR, WHY EVEN ISRAEL HAS JOINED HER CLUB OF PEACE NOT KNOWING WHAT SHE IS DOING, AND THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND WHO SUFFERED THE GREATEST OF HER PERSECUTIONS HAS GIVEN IN, WHICH TELLS US ITS ALMOST TIME FOR ALL THE WORLD TO BE DECEIVED, THE RELIGIOUS WORLD THAT IS.
