A Bible For every hand in the end Most of us, at some point in our life, have compiled something like a term paper, résumé or even just a home budget. Whatever, when we did this we had to gather up all the data we could find, collate it and then put it in order before we printed it out as a final copy, right ? So it was with the bible king James (1580’s) commissioned to be made for the English speaking people. He wanted to compile a bible for distribution among his kingdom, because you see, at that time there were but a few scattered translations of the bible out there, and none had been mass printed, especially in English. The invention of mass printing had just been invented a relatively short time (Gutenberg press) and now it was possible for every one to own there own bible. The only bibles of any amount in the world were made from copied manuscripts (by hand of course) and were written in Latin and only distributed among the Roman Catholic Priests. These bibles were made of copies of old manuscripts, put together into a historical sequence, and were called the Latin Vulgate, and as I said they were simply a collection of the holy scriptures handed down from ancient sources and maintained by the church hierarchy. King James knew that the Roman Catholics held the scriptures closely to the priests and that the common man had no access to the Holy Scriptures, except through them, and Martin Luther had shown the world that the church was not entirely telling the people the whole truth contained in the scriptures, so it was time, according to the king, the people could judge for themselves what the bible said or didn’t say. So what did he do ? Well, he had his scholars develop a collection of Ancient History, like one would do a term paper more or less, of the past from all the old manuscripts they could find in the then known world. Even though this was eventually called a Bible, it was really a History book of mans past, his roots. You see, the bible had not been challenged by evolution at that time, oh sure, there were skeptic’s, mystics and legends but everyone knew basically who, where, and what had led to the present, along the historical lines anyway, as handed down and recorded by the many scholars along that line. The bible writers being some of them. Even though the world would like to eliminate them as a reality, as did the Egyptians with Moses just because they had connections with a God they don’t want to serve, but "their" reality cannot be argued. The biblical records were one of the most important things that had ever been recorded, and up until king James’ time they were not questioned as to their authenticity. They were just understood to be "the history" and were held as sacrad and maticusuously hand copied taking years to do so per copy. Actually it wasn’t until Darwin’s theories that the bible was seriously challenged, no wonder the religious world rose up in protest. Why ? because it was "the history" handed down from the past, and a whole nation of people still existed as whiteness, even the ancient names were still being used then, the very foundations that put the bible in context were still known if not seen. Not like the various transit nations that had risen and fallen since, who’s names and faces had been forgotten. Like the nation of the Egyptians, the nation of Israel has stood based entirely on its antiquity, and its close connection to the other known people groups mentioned in the biblical account. So as I say when it had come to king James’ time (1500’s) there was no reason to doubt the bible as a source of history. Even Sir Isaac Newton (1700’s) made the bible one of his studies, and even published a term paper about it himself (book actually) on the reality of the bible as ancient history, as late my friends, as a generation prior to Darwin. With Darwin then is obviously when man began to reject their recorded history for other writings based solely on theories and miss connected conjecture. Today there are so many translations, interpretations and false interpreters of the bible, that the bible has been disclaimed for this reason alone, and put in the category of theory like drawin’s writings. Distracting us from the fact we have an abundance of archeological evidence that supports it as well as the historical. You see, Satan doesn’t care how he gets people to ignore the bible, whether through Babylonian confusion (individual interpretation) or blatant ignorance (turning a blind eye) to its historical realities. With this having been said, I want to expand on an approach of understanding, not only to the handed down physical realities of the ancient manuscripts as I have tried to present in the preceding, but also the Revelations of Jesus Christ that relate to us in our time for the bible believing side. This all leads to what I am about to say; The scriptures as cannoned by the king James scholars, who looked the then known world over to find the manuscripts used to compile the bible, as we have it today in our language, who then put those writings into a "logical order" as their contexts required. Starting with Genesis; the historical account of creation, to revelation a last testimony of Jesus Christ revealing what was to happen in the end of the world between when he left and when he was to come back.If there was any book in the bible we should be familiar with it should be this last book that tells about the end of time and the world, and how it will effect us, and our families. Saying this of course doesn’t preempt a need to know how it all started and played out to the cross and how that affects "our faith" in the coming realities Jesus reveals to us in His last book, but it is obvious it all comes down to being ready or it will have all been in vain, for us anyway, regardless. All the books of the bible have been cannoned as they are, in order, for "us", for one purpose, and that is to first reveal God, the Father of mankind, and the creation of life as we know it. To reveal His plan and purpose for us in the restoration of the breached covenant, and lastly to prepare us for his soon return to this earth to purge it of the separation sin has caused between him and his children, and his intentions to recreate it as it was before the breach; this time however without sin and evil that only perverts and destroys, and put back what man originally had in the beginning and that was direct communication with god and life eternal. Today we fantasize about living forever and dream about a society where there is no war, where strife and decadency has been outlawed. But when the reality of such a world is presented to us; in the person of the Godhead, who came to this earth, in the very year predicted by historical prophecy itself. The world has proved over and over through many generations that it really doesn’t want to live Gods way as Jesus lived (by the Covenant); it’s just not fun, its old fashion, it’s against my "religion", my philosophies, my theologies, my natural inclinations, my worship practices, and we too reject it, not knowing, nor wanting to know, it’s the historical reality, the way of eternal life as handed down to us, not as a threat to our existence, but as a promise of a better world wherein we never die, and no one steals, kills or takes our possessions and we acknowledge Gods Sabbath "which he created from his own mind" for his people that love him and wish to have his mind and be like him. If we don’t want that friend, can we safely say we’re a fool, or at least have been fooled. What fool wouldn’t want it ? This fool does ! Why not all fools ? The answer is simple "Satan has taken this reality from them by perverting the truth and thus they do not know what has been promised, and "what it takes to be a part of that promise", and this is what I want to expose right now; hopefully in the next few paragraphs so you don’t get bored, even though I am talking about how the bible offers "life forever". It just doesn’t make sense to me why we don’t want to take this seriously ? So, if we start with the last book of the bible we will see naturally the things that are going to effect us, who do have faith in the reality of the scriptures as historical truth, and are living in the last days, and lets see if we can find anything in this last book of the bible, these last words Jesus said, that will, or do, affects us, and our readiness to receive the promise we hope for. As we go along, and with each statement we read that effects us, I want to show how Satan has perverted them, so that we do not miss out on the promise ourselves. We will take the verses in blocks, going in reverse - backwards, until the picture is clear what we are to do and be like to inherit eternal life. If anywhere in the bible my friends, Jesus is going to tell us what it takes, it will be here in his last call to our generation and notice he keeps repeating this call; Revelation 22:17-21 17 and the spirit and the bride say, come. And let him that hearth say, come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. 18 for I testify unto every man that hearth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, god shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, god shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 he which testifieth these things saith, surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. In john 14:15- the lord says the spirit is the spirit of truth sent to guide us into all truth. The bride is who or what ? The church (the individual temple too) "of course" established in Truth who speak for God and call us towards the water of eternal life. But as verse 18-19 (of Rev. 22 above) tell us Satan has been able to diminish the words of prophecy of this book and the truth obviously to where even these simple words Jesus gives in closing, have been perverted to the point we miss its simple truth, and will miss out on the reward Jesus comes to bring us at his soon coming, which leads us to next verse back leading into this one; Revelation 22:16
What is Jesus saying here or actually establishing ? His connection to history ! Did you realize that in the early part of the 21st century or the last of 1999, I can’t remember, archeologists uncovered stones that speak of king David king of Israel? one of the first physical references discovered. Of course we have had the historical documentation (the Holy Scriptures) since Moses’ time. If we do not believe this first as truth, the promise of His coming doesn’t mean anything to us. Lets go back to what lead to this statement; Revelation 22:13-15 13 I am alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 for without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. He starts this admonishment to us by stating who He was; the Creator and the Savior, the beginning and the end to His people who call on Him, and to them He pronounces a blessing or describes those who hold Him as their all and all. But in doing so He also separates them from the rest of the world, who as dogs, breed and consume of the evil this world has become, who will not enter into heaven. One who calls himself knowing tried to say these commandments are not the ten commandments nor include them because they speak of doing a work which Satan has been able to indoctrinate the modern religions, as dismissing from the salvation process, but friends, this is simple truth, simple relationships stated here, for us to find ourselves in, to know whether we are going to inherit the promise or not, and as with all times past there was a work involved with salvation from taking the lamb to the alter, to following Jesus, to just having simple faith in him rather than put a pinch of incense on the alter saying they believed in the Pope rather than die, that was the last work they did, be though it a mental work it equates to the physical (sacrifices of faith since Able) and is excepted as righteousness in either case because they believed in God and His plan for their salvation (His Savior Son) and in Him as their Creator (in His history). This is so clear, but Satan wants to destroy its simple context any way he can, to keep us from entering those gates, he cannot ente,r and to keep us with him and his Commandment breakers (liars, murders, adulterers etc.) This, my friend, separates us from the Saints of God and the saints of Satan’s churches. Lets go back further; Revelation 22:6-12 6 and he said unto me, these sayings are faithful and true: and the lord god of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7 behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. 8 and I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 then saith he unto me, see thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship god. 10 and he saith unto me, seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 he that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 and, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Is he saying; ‘these things I say are the faith and truth?’ We certainly could say it that way, or it doesn’t mean anything, or matter, as some say. But notice the connection to the Prophets here, and that it is them the Lord uses to expose to mankind what things are going to happen in history between when He left and when He comes back (shortly to be done or come to pass ?) Don’t just hear these things, but do them, keep them, and you will see how Satan takes this away from us in a "love your brother faith only religion?" If not, you miss the whole point of this admonishment from Jesus to prepare for His soon coming. Of course then, there’s the left behind doctrine, based on Paul’s writings, that completely destroy the need to prepare, making this stuff Jesus felt so important to tell us of little if no importance, and if it connects some way to the Ten Commandments, we try with all our conniving, and miss quoting of Paul, to dismiss it, much to the chagrin of Satan. Don’t worship man, or mans religion, or theology, Worship God and his established truths vs. 8-9. For the time will come, when time is cut short in righteousness vs. 10-11 (left behinds second chance not implied here) and it will be to late to change our minds, for as the next text implies, His coming will shortly follow, and all that he states follows is "prerequisite", and don’t let anyone take that from you, or you’ll remain as you are, in contrast to Gods Laws, and your works will not be His, and thus as the people in Matthew 7:20-29, II Thessalonians 2:8-12 will apply. Friends, "the truth" is the bottom line or we will be deceived, if the bible is true, and I think I have given you a small amount of the evidence to support it is, and if we must conform to the standards of heaven, giving up all the things of the world that will keep us out of heaven, and if Jesus is right now calling us into his presence; then what hinders us from searching the scriptures dailey, as found in the bible "every hand" can open and find eternal life ? Or is this promised gift not great enough to attract our attention ? If we go back just a few chapters; we read about the end of time; as Jesus described in these last few verses of this last book in the bible (Revelation 22). Notice Rev. 14 where we will get a clue as to when these final events will happen and what will trigger them; Revelation 14:6-7 6 and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 saying with a loud voice, fear god, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. The gospel going into all the world makes it time for Jesus to come, obviously, and the gospel will contain a call as given here in verses 7-14; And the next thing we see is Jesus coming. You don’t know this; but the message of these three angles referred to here, have sprung up a world wide network that is now broadcasting this very message to all nations on this earth, and in the early part of 2002, will be broadcasting in all the major tongues ! This is telling me we are at the threshold of the coming of Jesus, especially when you understand the mark of the beast, and its connection to the saints of God found in the rest of this verse (Rev. 14:7-14). Friends taking this to heart and mind is my purpose and prayer for you, and, is this a scare tactic on my part? You had better believe it, and I offer no apologies, for I am scared to, when I here these things, but by believing them to be true, I am relieved in the promises that always follow. Revelation 14:6-15 6 and I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 saying with a loud voice, fear god, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 8 and there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9 and the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of god, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the lamb: 11 and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of god, and the faith of Jesus. 13 and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, blessed are the dead which die in the lord from henceforth: yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. 14 and I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 and another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
